Ampersand
Terms of use
Draft, not yet in force
What Ampersand is, how journeys and credits are bought and used, and the rules that apply.
Who provides it
Ampersand is provided by ZINFER TECHNOLOGIES, S.L., Calle Magdalena Díaz 22, 8.º B, 28035 Madrid, Spain, NIF B05776141. Write to ampersand@zinfertech.com.
What this is
A thirty-day journey to write with someone else. Starting a journey costs one credit, and the person who invites pays: whoever accepts the invitation pays nothing and gets exactly the same.
Purchases
Journeys are bought inside the app in packs of 1, 3 or 6, at the price your country’s store shows. Apple or Google charge the payment, and refunds are requested from them. Each journey bought is a credit that never expires. A refunded credit that hasn’t been used stops being available; one already used in a journey stays as it is. Your credits live in your account: on another phone, just sign in again. If you bought before creating your account and lost the app, “Restore purchases” tries to recover it.
Credits
A credit is reserved when you create the invitation and spent when the other person joins. If the invitation is withdrawn or expires, it becomes available again, unless its purchase was refunded. Closing a journey doesn’t give it back. If you delete your account, any credits you haven’t spent are lost.
What you write
It’s yours. We don’t read it, we don’t use it for anything and we don’t show it to anyone. The video keepsake made at the end is private; the cover can be shared, and it shows the other person’s first name: either of you can send it.
Age
You must be 16 or older to use the app.
The store’s licence
If you get Ampersand from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps also applies. If you get it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms of service also apply.
If these terms change
We will say so in the app before the change applies. Credits you already bought stay yours.
Applicable law
Spanish law, without taking away any right the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
This text is also available in Spanish. If the two versions differ, the Spanish one prevails.
